FAQ

How much is a tattoo?

Tattoo pricing is a complex subject and varies depending on multiple factors. A few of the pricing components are: time, complexity, size, placement, style, professional experience, drawing time, and more.

For price estimates please include where you want the tattoo placed (be very specific,) size in inches, a detailed description of the tattoo design, and any reference photos you may have for inspiration.

What's the shop minimum?

My minimum setup cost is $100. This covers the setup of materials used, and hospital-level disinfecting. Nearly every item used during the tattoo process is single use and setting up/breaking down for a tattoo procedure takes time even if it's a single dot.

What's the deposit for?

Deposits are nonrefundable and a way of securing a time slot. If a client does not show up for their appointment the booked artist has an open slot they otherwise could have filled. Deposits are counted toward the final price of your tattoo session. We'd much rather you show up than keep your deposit.

I'm on vacation, when should I get tattooed?

If you're on vacation in Hawaii and planning on getting tattooed, I recommend setting an appointment for the day before you leave (not an hour before your flight home.) You should not swim with an open wound, and the Hawaii sun can be brutal on your new turtle tattoo.

How long does it take to heal?

Every tattoo is different and some designs require more work to the skin than others. A general guide would be 1-2 weeks.

Does it hurt?

Yes

Where does it hurt the most?

Some areas of the body feel like a light cat scratch, while others might feel like a tiger's scratch. Every person has a different pain tolerance, and some techniques cause more pain. In general, anywhere on the arms and legs will feel much less pain than the torso, neck, or feet.

Should I get a tattoo?

Most certainly. There's a few ways to do it:
